Lay a permeable weed mat or geotextile first. It stops stones pushing into the soil and keeps weeds down, so the topping stays clean for years.
Bulk vs bagged
One cubic metre is about 75 to 80 standard 20 kg bags. Buying in bulk and having it tipped on site is usually far cheaper and saves hours of lifting.

How much area do decorative pebbles cover?
At 50 mm deep, one cubic metre covers about 20 m². Larger stones need to be laid deeper to cover the ground, so allow 75 to 100 mm for 40 mm and larger pebbles.
Do I need weed mat under pebbles?
Yes, we recommend it. A permeable weed mat or geotextile stops weeds and prevents stones sinking into the soil.
Can decorative stone be tipped on my driveway?
Yes, the tipper can drop it on your driveway or site. Put down a tarp first if you want to protect a decorative surface and make clean-up easier.
How is delivery priced?
