Tipaload is building a smarter logistics network that improves skip bin hire and tipper truck coordination by matching jobs with nearby operators, digitising dockets, and enabling fast payments. These efficiencies reduce empty kilometres, minimise on-site idle time, and ensure more construction waste removal is delivered to compliant tip and recycling facilities.

Our approach

Transparent reporting

Measure and publish baseline metrics for empty kilometres, job-to-job "deadhead," on-site wait time, and digital vs paper dockets. Convert to CO₂-e using recognised factors, and report trends twice yearly.

Minimise our footprint

Prioritise cloud-first operations, 100% digital dockets, and efficient routing features to avoid unnecessary trips.

Enable partners to decarbonise

Integrate approved tip and recycling sites in-app so shippers can choose compliant destinations and carriers spend less time queuing and detouring.

Design for resilience

Standardised workflows and instant payouts help small carriers stay solvent and maintain well-kept fleets, improving safety and reducing breakdown-related waste.

What we will measure

Starting from launch of our sustainability program, we will track and aim to improve:

  • Empty-kilometre rate per completed job (pre- and post-match).
  • On-site idle time before loading and at tip sites.
  • Share of digital dockets across all jobs.
  • Share of loads tipped at approved facilities (recycling where available).

We will publish methodology, baselines, and progress targets in our first Sustainability Update.

Build and refine algorithms to reduce deadhead by routing carriers to nearby work and tip sites, including multi-stop chains where appropriate.

Paperless operations

Make digital dockets the default across shipper and carrier apps, and retire paper flows where regulation allows.

Responsible disposal pathways

Expand in-app discovery of tip/recycling sites and surface pricing, hours, and accepted materials to cut guesswork and detours.

Product expansion for circular outcomes

As we add bins, excavators, and materials ordering, design flows that preference recycling and reduce double handling.

Fair, fast payments

Maintain 24-hour payouts to carriers so small operators can maintain vehicles and plan work efficiently, reducing wasteful downtime.

Roadmap to impact

Near-term (execute)

Instrument the platform for distance, time, and docket telemetry; launch sustainability dashboards for internal use; publish definitions and baselines.

Mid-term (scale)

Open a shipper choice set for recycling-preferred tip sites; pilot "smart chaining" to link nearby jobs; publish first external Sustainability Update.

Long-term (lead)

Partner with facilities and councils to increase recycling throughput, and explore incentives for low-emission vehicles as the market matures.
